I’ve purchased TG44 recently and started to use just as a singal generator by standalone application. In the window of TG standalone application, setting frequency works properly. But regarding Amplitude, even though I change the value, output power doesn’t change by checking spectrum analyzer. If there is any answer resources for solving this issue, please let me know. Besides, what is Reference option in the standalone window for? What result will I get when selecting Unused, Internal Out or External? Sorry for basic questions.
The output power ranges from -30 to -10 dBm. Values outside this range are not expected to change amplitude. Additionally, the step size is about 1 dB but it will snap to the nearest measured value, so a step size of 2 dB is sometimes required to get an amplitude change. For finer amplitude control, consider one of our VSGs.
If nothing is connected to the 10 MHz in/out BNC, select “unused”
